Hi all, I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how to get past this stupid english lesson on Kingdom of Loathing. What I mean is, I am trying to be able to chat so I can ask questions, and I have to finish sentences, and I thought I was doing it right but apparently not.
If someone could help me out with this situation, I'd appreciate it. thanks in advance.

I didn't have to punch in any security codes for KOL chat. I think, the pass the test, I just pasted one of the sentences into the thing that looks like it's for a security code. Now, if only I could acquire a potion of temporary gr8ness, I, too, could vanquish the Boss Bat. LOL.

Yeah, it pays to be a pack rat, you never know when that random odd or end could come in handy. If you're up to level 3 feel free to join the clan I'm in, it's in one of my posts above. And if you want anything, let me know, I have a lot of stuff floating around.

I'm on kingdom of loathing as Chita...and I'm a little confused. for one thing, what is 'moxie'? And for another, I have a mosquito fimiliar...but how do I get a different kind? And for a third: the Council of Loathing gave me a quest (I think it was a quest, anyway) to find them a mosquito larva. But the last quest in my quest log is the Toot oriel's quest to put the action figure back together. I completed it. So why aren't any later quests showing up?
I'd like to find some of you on there because I'm kinda lost and alone on KOL at the moment. Gracias in advance for helping me answer the above questions. :)
ok, there is alot more then quests, there are hidin parts and areas that won't open till you get to a serten level, spending alot of time in one area is a good idea, just to find all the items, if you get bord in one area you can go to another.building your stats up will make your player grow, you do this by fighting different monsters, some give different points, and on serten days, you'll get even more.again my clans name is just don't know, joining will give you 500 meat a day plus some of your hit points and mono points will be returned after roll over and there are some spoilers listed in the clan bords and some items you can take.
Am a loyal member of Just Don't Know; the stash is great. Also, spend some time in the gym. Oh, that reminds me, I need to go and make my meat donation for today. LOL.
Ah yes, the gym is extremely helpful!! So is that meatbush they just put in the clan rumpus room.
Okay. The last thing, for the moment, that I'm having trouble with, is finding the Boss Bat. I can't seem to go anywhere in the bat hole except for the entrence...any little pieces of advise? :)

Hmmmm, so, I got past the pile of rocks in the bat hole. Now, I find billions and billions of ratbats and batrats. LOL. Guess I'm still not worthy of the boss bat's attention.
Yeah, it takes a while to fight your way past them. Also, if you're up to level six, you can get onto the Mysterious Island and visit the Hippie
Camp, Pirate's Cove, and Frathouse. If you collect the hippie, pirate, and fratboy outfits you can go to each of those places in disguise and gain more muscle, mysticality, and moxy. And in the case of the frathouse, beer.

I have vanquished the Boss Bat, and have the belt to prove it. He weren't easy, though. I lost almost half my hit points in the fight. A worthy oponent, I'd say. lol. I then weent back to my camp site, where I had a taco and an ice-cold six-pack to celebrate.

Hey I'm level 6 and still haven't managed to kill the goblin king yet either.
Looks like I've caught up with some of you, having beaten the Boss Bat. The Goblin King has yet to notice me. I guess my Knollish Cross-dresser outfit isn't the right one? The elite Goblin guards are tough, though I've won the fights so far. My efforts have been thus far rewarded with the lab key and a few bottles of perfume.
Daniel, in order to get the King to notice you, you have to dress up as a Knob Goblin Harem "Girl and spray on some Knob Goblin Harem Girl perfume. Then he'll notice you for sure.
As for me, still stuck at level 11. Need to find (or figure out how to make) a digital key
Played in the land of pixels yet.. that will help... I am to the sorceress now, but sort of have been there for a year, and just sort of quit for a while. If anyone's interested, I am Turtlecat, the Turtletamer on there... I hope to run into ya';; over there too. I think i am level 15... I don't know for sure.. Hey, does anyone have any spare long skinny balloons? I'm trying to get past a section of the naughty sorceress's cave and I need to make a balloon monkey, but I don't have enough materials and I'm somewhat short on meat at the moment. you can start with any character, for when you ascend you can start al over with a diffent class

Oh no, I'm already established on RuneScape with 2 quests, now you're going to get me addicted to another game, joy! Guess I'll have to check it out. Is it like Runescape or is it more text-based?
I haven't signed up KOL yet. I persaonlly like RuneScape overall the the RPGs I've found so far. Expecially now that I can bake Cakes (3 Servings) per Cake which makes a good healing source and just sell them to players. Pretty soon I may be able to catch Lobsters the best Health Restoring source in the game. If you need any Cakes or Lobsters let me know.

Hi, i've just joijned kingdom of loathing, user name on there is blairwitch. don't know how to get any friends on there or anything. and i'm also stuck. i've just got some mosquito lava as part of a quest, and they told me i should keep it as a pet, but need to buy some trade mark growing thing, can't remember what exactly and not sure where to go for that, or where to put it at my camp site. also, i'm unsure as to how to hang my training completion certificate up there too, but yeah, i'm a newby and the name is blairwitch on there.
First to the members in my clan, there are 2 places where you can get some free meat and I’ve added some more items, soon there will be 3 areas where you can get more meat.
Second, I’m trying to find some spoilers for making advance weapons and other, equipment for example, not sure what I can combine the glowing red eye with, and I tried looking in the forms but could not really find anything, so if anybody has some hints please let me know, thanks.

Put the mosquito larva into your terrarium; it will mature into a mosquito adult, which you take with you. When it bites your opponent, it transfers some small number of manna or hit points to you. As it gains weight, it becomes more helpful. I have a starfish that does wonders!
how due you get others also can you join more then one clan.

but remember, just because it looks good does not mean you can use it. Some items require certain stat levels before they can be used. always check it out before you buy something or your money could be wasted

I, too, was a player, then gave it up for a while. Now, I'm back, with a new character. Zoners, meet MrGoodBar, the deisco bandit. He's barely 2nd level, as of this writing. He brought 5 spider webs to the Gourd Towder and got a gourd potion. Now, what?

Thanks for the link to the KOL wiki; I had forgotten about that. In general, wikis are most helpful. Regarding the poster whos desired login names are all taken, just change a letter or add a number or something; you'll get a name that pleases you.

yeah the wikki is good sorry i forgot about that as well. and as for the names, keep an eye on the names you may be able to use them soon because offen sometimes folks don't play kol any more and if they don't play for two months there acount gets deleted which could mean that you may get that name your looking for one day. but mostly folks play when they make a acount but sometimes people can loose interest. and if it is the last part of thee ethek weppon quest no one can complete it till it is updated by the folks who make and code kol.

I don't think the code is updated often. One that's even less frequently updated is Heroes of Ardania. I made a new character in that game yesterday, since my old character had been deleted.

My new character is such a wimp! Lately, as he fights in the tavern cellar, an encounter with one drunken rat sends him slinking back to his camp site, tail between legs...

I asended twice, got to level 30, and have also been playing over a year, I started a clan anyone is welcome its called Eric Cartman’s sweet clan. The hardest thing for me was the chamber in the pyramid, and hedge maze puzzle. The puzzle takes luck, and picturing it in your head, and made up a way to find out what the chamber is in the pyramid. Let me know if you want it if you want game cheats check the KoL Wicky. Also check out the KoL forums there is a topic called GM scripts for the visually impaired! The KoL staff is trying to make the game more accessible, and want your feedback!

Oh yeah you don't have to wait to do a heigher level to do a quest. Just get buffed at the site I talked about pick 3 Acordien Theef buffs, all the other buffs, and you will be fine.

You don't get the continuum transfunctioner from random adventureing you have to go to the Crack Pots Mistic Shed in the woods you need to listen to the mistec's crazy story. If you need help my KoL name is jb77. I asended twice, am a clan leader, have 29 trophys, 42 familars, and I can help you with allmost everything!

To beat the goblin king, adventure in the herim until you have an entire herim girl outfit, that includes wig, vale, perfume. Dress yourself in the outfit, and the king will notice you.

If you can't beet a monster get buffed at www.kingdomofbuffing.com its free! Its easy to find the inexplicable door. Go to the forest then go to the Crackpot Mystics Shed listen to his story. He will give you piece of equitment equip it, and return to the forest.

If you use the KOL Wiki, it'll tell you exactly how to do everything you need to.

From the main page of the WIKI, you can click on whatever you need to. There are options further down the page, for things such as quests, items, weapons, etc. You just click on the one you need help with. For example, if you need help with a particular quest, click on the quests link, and then you can choose which quest you need help with.

You just use the sonar biscuits from your inventory. When used, the game will automatically reveal the other areas.

I agree. Tehre is absolutely no way a visually impaired person could do it without sighted assistance unless they were using firefox, I think, and I don't use that to play KOL, or do anything related to the internet.
yes, the hedge maze is a pain to fight and the maze is tricky but it can be done. if anybody would like some help just let me know
k, need a little help, I need a flaming mushroom, mushrooms are a little hard to grow and I can normally find 1 in the mall but there are none as of 5159, if you have 1 please send it to zentar7, I am willing to traid. thanks
well was finally able to find a flaming mushroom in the mall, so to others, if you are unable to find something in the mall, keep trying, it should show up sooner or later
How the heck do I get in to the chamber to fight Ed the Undying? Rats keep either taking my bronze tokens, or knocking me out in the rom where i"m supposed to get abomb.
I used to be a loather but got frustrated wen I couldn't kill the Knob Gobblin king. I was a level 7 Disco Bandit.
okay, I had some help with my problem. When you're in the upper chamber in the small pyramid, you have to do the following to get in to the chamber where Ed the Undying is:
turn the wheel three times to get in to the room where the bronze tokens are
go in there and get one
go back up to the upper chamber and turn the wheel four times to get in to the room where the vending machine is
go in there to get a bomb
return to the upper chamber and turn the wheel three more times to get the pile of rubble
go to the pile of rubble and it'll tell you what happens next.
Now I need help with the darn hedge maze. lol

Anyone know anything about The Ruins of Fernswarthy's Tower? KoL wiki has scarce little on it and after I opened the door with the key (second quest), I can't do anything. All it says is:
Tower Ruins (1)
and it's not a graphic.
Doesn't cost me an adventure, but can't even accomplish anything by clicking anything in JAWS.
Maybe I just need better stats or something to go further in this quest. Ah well, I have a lot of quests on the plate now anyway, what with the smithing the legendary weapon and the killing bats / the goblin king ...
